...Service Provider

I'm a... Service Provider

About You

  • You are a Service Provider of, typically, any of the following kinds:
  • A Consulting Firm Partner.
  • An Agency or company that engages with CIOs.
  • Any connector who wants to connect us with CIOs.
  • A specialist company like us who wants to create a partnership/alliance for complimentary services.
  • You like our Services and want to engage with us for one of the following:
  • To provide these services to your clients, maybe enabling you to provide more value for your own other services.
  • To provide these services to your clients, either before or after you have provided your own services.
  • To provide these services to those in your network who you believe would benefit.
  • To include or offer your own services into our services, augmenting the value and benefits of both sets of services.
  • You would like a symbiotic arrangement that would be mutually rewarding.

Your Reasons To Engage

As part of our own Capability Maturity Model from our own experience that our clients have faced, we have identified typical situations that you may have observed or be experiencing in your engagement with your clients, current or prospective.

The below is just a sample of some of the situations that you may be experiencing. In all cases, commercial terms (e.g. referral fees, margins, profit-share) will be discussed to reach a mutually beneficial outcome.

For each, we have provided a little more guidance as to which of our relevant Services could be employed to compliment your own services, and the benefits to you of doing so:

  • You are utilizing client teams on your delivery transformation engagement...but don't know if their capabilities and motivations will risk or suit your planned objectives and milestones.

Recommended Services and a benefit summary:

    • Game-Changing Culture - From our own experience, engaging client team members (which could constitute leadership teams and/or team members) adds a risk element to your contractual deliverables and timelines. Yes, you might be able to vet them for hard skills and competency levels (e.g. with the SFIA framework - which can be lengthy to conduct) but their inclinations or motivations could still risk the objectives to be met. E.g. members of the client teams may not be accustomed to perform and/or may have hesitations about performing this type of transformation work, compared to their usual activities. Understanding the GC Index profiles of each individual will mitigate and reduce this risk by identifying these inclinations. They will help you establish balanced teams to reach the impact outcomes for each phase of the transformation. See these case studies for indicative examples.
    • CIO Office Advisory - Although not directly related to this case, once the transformation is complete, we can provide these services to the CIO and/or their leadership team to support them to stay the course and firmly embed the transformation (after your teams have disengaged). If at any time it looks like the client would need some extra boost, we know where to come 😁.
    • IT Strategy Consulting - Of course, we can be engaged to partner with you for these services.
  • You are assisting a client with a strategy or operating model transformation...but know that the client will not engage you long enough to embed it sufficiently, risking it coming apart in their BAU (Business-As-Usual) mode, and risking any follow-on business.

Recommended Services and a benefit summary:

    • Game-Changing Culture - Although not directly related to this case, we can provide these services to the client (or even to your teams) to improve the chances of the desired impact being realised. See these case studies for indicative examples.
    • CIO Office Advisory - We know that, with the extra demands on CIOs nowadays, budgets are constrained so they might not be able to engage you for as long as they should to embed the transformation. Therefore, once the transformation is complete, we can provide these services to the CIO and/or their leadership team to support them to stay the course and firmly embed the transformation after your teams have disengaged. If at any time it looks like the client would need some extra boost, we know where to come 😁.
  • You have a prospective new CIO client, especially for what is suspected to be a less mature IT Function...but want a quick, optimum breadth-depth evaluation of their IT Function, upon which you can maximize the client value of your own transformation proposals, and hence your own chance of winning the engagement.

Recommended Services and a benefit summary:

    • Game-Changing Culture - One of the options in the health check assessment is to perform GC Index profiles for the CIO, their Leadership Team, which can be extended to other key personnel. By getting an understanding of the anonymised inclinations for providing impact, you will get more insight into how your stakeholders might respond and contribute to your proposed transformation. Coupling this with your own team's profiles will contribute to both a better proposal (eyes wide open) and building bonds for a truly collaborative and mutually-rewarding relationship.
    • CIO Office Advisory - The health check assessment is the key benefit to both you and the client: it provides a common baseline of the whole IT Function scope, as well as common language and definitions on which you can both base and understand your proposal(s). For the CIO and client, this will also politely, without embarrassing, ensure that they understand what the scope and maturity levels of a good IT Function to industry best-practice standards. For you, it gives you a useful 'Discovery' pack on which you can base your proposals, without having to hedge your scope or contractuals, any of which could risk a later, unexpected scope creep and seeds of distrust being sown.
    • IT Strategy Consulting - Of course, we can be engaged to partner with you for these services from proposal onwards after the client health check assessment has been conducted.
  • You have a new client proposing a new strategy, operating model or similar that widely impacts the IT Function...but you need to engage others with the end-to-end experience and gravitas.
